Williamsburg
Spent three days away from the boys to do a little training for next year. A little refreshed although the car ride every day hurt my neck. Classical Conversations is starting a group at my church and I will be a tutor. I really like the group and am looking forward to starting up in the fall. It did help to attend the practicum and I picked up a few more books/supplies that I need. I will consider bringing my boys next time and just staying at the hotel. The classes they had for the kids looked fun. Back to the real world now and finish up this year before looking at next year. Always looking ahead. Need a summer break and really take the time off. LOL!!!

Valentines Party
Here are some photos of the IBC Homeschoolers Valentine's Party. It has turned into more of a social group and we know how to party. LOL! After opening with prayer we had lots of fun. Andrew took almost all of these pictures. He teases me that he is a better photographer than I am. He is correct. I'm happy for him. He really seems to enjoy taking pictures.
Another Tooth Gone
Andrew has lost another tooth! He begged me to help him with it because it was hurting and felt funny. After several attempts we tied some dental floss to it and then to a door knob. Daniel then yanked the door open while I gave Andrew a hug. Worked very well! We had to search for the tooth. That took about five minutes since it flew off. Pretty funny! He says it feels much better. When he has his next visit to the dentist we will set one up for the orthodontist.

Daniel is Six Years Old!!!
Freshly showered and ready for his big day. Hard to believe he really is six years old. We are actually celebrating tomorrow and the day after with family. He requested that we not have a party with friends this year. Only family. Today we will make cake. He wants to help make his very own tiered chocolate chocolate cake with sprinkles and musical candle. Pretty funny.
It is supposed to be 75 degrees here today. Is it really winter? That explains the short sleeved shirt.

Class at the local state park - Hide n Seek
No. This child is in no danger. It's a stuffed cat.
Hard to see this little guy. His camouflage works well.

The boys looking for examples of animal camouflage in magazines.
Making learning fun!
I missed this one. Hard to believe I know!

Do you see it?

Hard to spot!
The program was called Hid n Seek. They discussed the predator /prey relationship. They also went over camouflage and how different animals use it differently. The boys had a lot of fun. We went on a walk to find the "hidden animals". Out of 11 animals the person to do the best was the child who saw 8.(not one of mine) They walked along in single file just noting to themselves when they found something and kept a running count. Really fun.

Snow!!!!????
It is supposed to be snowing until lunch time according to the weather man. Apparently the warm air moved in before they thought it was going to. Pooh! The good news is the boys start new classes today and are excited. They get to eat lunch with some new friends. I am going to use the time to do some planning and praying.

Watching History
Well today we spent most of our focus on the the stuff we "have" to do and tv coverage of the inauguration. Andrew really enjoyed watching the coverage. I think that "watching history" as it was happening was fun. I told him that he will be able to look back and remember this day. Daniel also watched it, but was not as "into" it. It was interfering with his regular PBS programing. LOL!! I missed part of what I wanted to watch. It seemed to take forever for the parade to happen. Not sure what time it did occur.

Some things I Want to Remember This Year
Instead of saying "I can't," to remember "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
Instead of whining "I want such and such...", to remember "My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
Instead of being afraid, to remember "God hath not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:7
Instead of doubting, to remember "God hath given to every man the measure of faith."
Romans 12:3
Instead of saying "I'm too weak!", to remember "The Lord is the strength of my life."
Psalm 27:1
Instead of thinking "That's it--I give up!", to remember "God always causeth me to triumph in Christ Jesus." II Corinthians 2:14
Instead of thinking, "I just don't know what to do!", to remember "Christ Jesus is made unto me wisdom from God." I Corinthians 1:30
Instead of being worried, to remember I'm "casting all my cares upon Him who careth for me." I Peter 5:7
Instead of saying "I can't do anything right!", to remember "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1
